Driven by the China+1 shift and surging demand for advanced technologies, from AI servers and data centers to electric vehicles, Thailand is no longer just an alternative manufacturing base. It is becoming a strategic node in the global electronics supply chain.

By 2025, the landscape has fundamentally changed.
From 20 existing PCB manufacturers, Thailand is welcoming 24 new players, pushing total projected investment to USD 4.1 billion.

The momentum is most visible in the rise of the “New Players”.
New factories and major capacity expansions signal serious, long-term commitment. Global names such as Wara Micro Circuit, Circuit Industry, Mektec, and Fujikura, alongside manufacturers from Taiwan, China, and Japan, are scaling up operations in Thailand. Their shared focus is clear: Multilayer PCBs, HDI, and FPC, the core technologies powering next-generation electronics.

At the same time, the “Existing Leaders” remain the backbone of the industry.
Established leaders like KCE, Elec & Eltek, Mektec, Fujikura, Chin Poon, Panasonic, CMK, Kyoden, Sagami Shoko, and Draco PCB continue to anchor Thailand’s reputation for reliability, engineering depth, and skilled workforce. This continuity is precisely why global OEMs see Thailand as a trusted manufacturing base.

What is emerging now is not just scale, but structure.
Clear industrial clusters are taking shape:

  • Ayutthaya, a stronghold for multilayer production and Japanese manufacturers
  • Prachinburi, a fast-growing cluster built for large-scale capacity
  • EEC, where PCB connects seamlessly with PCBA, EV, and advanced electronics

Together, these clusters are reshaping Thailand from a collection of factories into a fully integrated electronics ecosystem.

Production value is projected to grow from USD 3.1 billion to USD 4.1 billion, a 32 percent increase. Yet the real significance goes beyond numbers. Thailand is shifting from being a “manufacturing alternative” to becoming a strategic supply chain hub for the world.

As the picture of “20 + 24” manufacturers becomes clearer, one question stands out:

How far can Thailand go, from a strong production base to a true leader in the global electronics value chain?
