The BURKLE Group
In 1920, Mr. Robert Burkle founded the Robert BURKLE & Co Spezial maschinen fabrik in the Black Forest area
in Freudenstadt, Germany. On a 100 sqm shop floor, he started to develop machines for the finishing of wooden
surfaces. Around 20 years later he already supplied his machines all around the world. By the 1960s, BURKLE
expanded its product porfolio to pressing and laminating lines which opened the market to the Printed Circuit
Board(PCB) industry. Hardly any other company entered this seminal market segment at such an early stage
with innovative technology “Made in Germany” Today, BURKLE is a global leader for pressing, coating and
laminating machines for both, the wood and furniture industry as well as the PCB,CCL, plastic cards,
photovoltaic and glass industry. With almost 500 employees.the BURKLE group is represented worldwide by
Production plants and Sales&Service offices in Europe,America and Asia.
The Twin Laminator HQ is the latest development of BURKLE. This new concept is ideal for customers who
want to produce high quality PCB's (mainly for Al applications) in high volume on a smaller factory footprint.
ㆍBetter pressure uniformity (compared to traditional dual-book presses)
"Increased energy efficiency due to lower energy loss in the thermal oil heating system
"Reduced footprint under the same production output, around 30% less (compared to 2x small presses)
ㆍBetter temperature accuracy (compared to traditional dual-book presses)
The 3rd Generation Floating Device represents our latest development stage, including state-of-the-art
technology and best practice from several BURKLE production lines with Floating Device in the market.
This technology is ideal for customers that prefer an advanced technology solution to reduce the wear and
increase the lifetime of the heating platens.
ㆍImproved positioning accuracy with motor encoder technology - alignment between Carriage and Hot press
within +/- 0.1mm
More rigid structure in Carriage for loading & unloading - reduced bending under high product weights
*Better rellabilty through improved tolerancing concept for interface parts, e.g. Cariage to Hot press / loading
rack to Carriage
The Elevated Carriage design is specifically designed for customers with extreme limitations
on overall layout design.
ㆍFootprint optimized overall layout with elevated Carriage on platform
・Elaborated maintenance concept within tight spaces
ㆍFlexible orientation of in-/ outfeed handling system connection
